The largest Thing/Type 181 event kicks off the largest VW week in the nation.
This year we are teaming up with our new neighbor VW of Garden Grove at their new location.
The Things attending the show will be in a special section at the dealership just for us and the awards will be given in many catagories.
Food and Drinks are available all day at the show. Plenty of great Hotel and RV lodging near by.
Admission is FREE! Car Show Entry is FREE!
It’s easy to make a vacation out of it. The Pomona swap meet is on Sunday and other events all week leading up to the VW Classic the following Sunday. Bring the whole family!
No Pets or Alcohol Please.

It’s easy. Take the 5, 405 or 57 to the 22. Exit at Euclid, you can’t miss it.
Show Categories:
Stock Unrestored
All original interior and exterior. Factory configurations and options.
No more than 50% of total interior and exterior restoration.
Exceptions: New tires, but must be on stock wheels, and new upholstery either seats or top, but must be in the original style vinyl and on low back seats.
Stock Restored
Original style interior and exterior. Factory configurations and options.
After-market restoration parts acceptable as long as original look is not altered.
Must be original color offered by Volkswagen but does not have to have original paint.
Stock Modified
Notable mechanical, body, or interior changes that prevent the car being shown as original. i.e. color other than stock, After-market wheels, etc yet not Custom.
Custom
Any non-original interior and/or bodywork alterations those are unique to that particular vehicle. You’ll know it when you see it.
Acapulco
All Acapulco’s invited. Original configurations and options are a plus in this category.
Daily Driver
Used as a regular form of transportation Monday - Friday (when running).
No weekend warriors or trailer queens please.
Weekend Driver
Used on the weekends, but does not qualify for the above categories.
Off Road
You name it, anything goes!
Military Dress
Class open to German built Type 181’s and Things in a military style. Be it Green, Camouflage, or Desert Style.
Most Potential
All cars in the show are eligible for this category. This may be a Thing that is in the process of a restoration, or that needs some help, but will be an awesome Thing when it gets some attention.
